Hi, I have tried selling on ebay but the profit I get from the product is squeezed out of me in trying to get my sales page to look good and all the extra cost in posting products. Are there any techniques out there to sell on ebay and still make a buck? Thanks

Hello - Either your profit margin is too low to start with or your picking too many expensive options. Forget trying to make the page look good - buyers don't care, they're just interested in what you have. I tried many options in the beginning and have refined it down to a clean, simple, informative page with no fluff and a Gallery picture. You must have a gallery picture and a low starting bid. I could go on & on, but this should initially help.

Don't blow your profit with highlights or bold titles either. The first FREE picture is all you really need. I won't even pay eBay any money to put my galley picture IN it's search listings unless I have an item where I'll make MORE than $50. Their camera icon in the listings is enough unless you're selling a big ticket item.

I have a friend who gets the paper every week and looks for the listings for yard sales. He then cherry picks the ones in the best neighborhoods and then goes and knocks on their door around 7-8pm the night before the yard sale is supposed to start, and asks them if he can look over what they will be selling.

Most people don't care and will let you. (some won't) But he manages to get the best stuff for dirt cheap. He makes a pretty good living at this. I would try it myself but, I don't like the idea of having an inventory that is why I like affiliate marketing so much.
