When you hear Off-Page Optimization, the next thing that pops-up into your mind is 'LINK'. It is because it deals with building links. Its a process of getting lots and lots of quality back links. Here are some of the techniques under Off-Page Optimization:

article and directory submissions
blog commenting
link exchange (exchange links on relevant sites)
forum posting
social bookmarking

While doing link building do take note that not all links are created equal in value. The low value links are:

* Directories
* Comments on DoFollow Blogs
* Forum Signature
* Linking between your sites
* Link Exchange

Also keep in mind that you need links from many different sites, not many links from the same sites

Good tips and that is enough for getting good amount of links. Linking between your websites is a little bit risk process unless both are using different IP set and different user information.
