Hello all,

We have a travel site. Each trip and each map tag has own page under the city.
The city url is: domainname.com/places/city,name-region-country

Due the programming logic we need to put the main title of trips and map tags to the middle of url:

trips/the,trip,title/city,name-region-country
instead of
trips/city,name-region-country/the,trip, title

place/map/the,tag,title/city,name-region-country
instead of
place/map/city,name-region-country/the,tag,title

Questions:
1.
Can the reverse logic influence google rank? Is any difference if we put the main title of trip and the main title of tag in the middle of url and not at the end?

2. Is domainname.com/place/map/the,tag,title/city,name-region-country too long url, can that influence the rank?

kenny,
The only time the URL directly influences the SE's is if you use the URL as the anchor text.

Of the many reasons to get your URL's correct, SEO is not really a factor.

Unless a lot of people are using your URL is a link to your site (and you should be so lucky to get a bunch of links at all!) The value in that is minimal as well.

dear friends
Years ago a factor. Nowadays you take Wordpress out fo the box and it has URL rewriting on it almost by default! Key message is that URL logic should be for the user and not the search engine.

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding affiliate links. If your promoting a video game on the internet and your affiliate company offers you a generic url link to there site, is it possible to get a specific url link to that product ?

Thanks

Yes you can have a track on your website(games site) through the links. Can be done by affiliate linking.
