I'm new here. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with affiliate marketing and what is the easiest way to get free traffic to your affiliate sites?

What type of campaign would you set up that is completely free to do?

Social Bookmarking is a good source of traffic especially if your topic is interesting for the possible visitor.

Press Releases works well. Want targeted traffic? Cruise the forums and see what the hot topics are related to your niche of course. Create a squeeze page touting that you have the answer to such and such problem and you are willing to give them a free report on your findings to subscribers only. If your report is good, this will give you about 10,000 new subscribers in 90 days.

This will allow you to send your special offers to your list which will be traffic to your offers from people who are interested in your offers.

Seo is one of the best free traffic. Problem is that it takes some time before starts working. What you could do is make a landing page or even better squeeze page and bookmark it (at least to 5 bookmarking services). Then open squidoo lens and write about product/niche that you are promoting. Make sure that you are using same keywords (and relevant keywords) on LP and squidoo lens and then link squidoo lens to your LP (use keywords in anchor text). After that you should bookmark you squidoo lens. Now you should do the same with all mayor free blog/page services like hubpages, gather, tumblr, weebly, article directorys. Just make sure you always use the same keywords and remember to bookmark them every time you have new post.

I would suggest you to write articles and submit them to article directories. And then write a press release and distribute it to free pr distribution sites.

Just make sure that you do aggressive marketing for your website.

I am pretty good at article marketing. In 30 days Im averaging 2 sales a day when clickbanks systems is functioning properly But the problem is a few days after i submit my articles to ezine almost all my traffic dies. My stats go from 150 unique visitors to 20 unique visitors. So on the days where i get my 150 unique visitors i make 3 sales on average and when i get my 20 visitors i only make a sale every other day. How can I get a steady stream of visitors? I have only explored article marketing. What else should I do to get a steady 100 people to my landing page every day? Thanks
