I have been working for a direct email marketing company for a few months now. I decided to share the process of sending dozens of millions of emails a day with you, hoping that I will find somebody with the resources necessary to help me open my own company.
Here goes:
1. You need a block of random text that will trick the email providers into letting you in. This block of text is shared between multiple direct email marketing companies.
2. You need a software that will rotate the ips and encode the actual email (body, from, subject). As of now, I am not yet willing to share the name of the software.
3. You need lots of ips. And I mean lots. We use one C class block, which is 254 ips (for some reason unknown to me .0 .1 and .255 are reserved – we only use .2 to .254) to send 800.000 to 1 million in Inbox or 1.5 – 2 million in Junk. We are able to send 70-80 million in Junk or half that number in Inbox a day (we have a few employers)
4. You need domains. I usually to through 3 domains/day for junk and 1 domain for every million in Inbox.
We are probably asking yourself why we send junk. One reason is that junk also generates revenue.
The second reason why we mail junk is because the ips have reputation. Let’s say we use one ip to mail inbox. The ip will eventually get blocked. By blocked I mean you won’t be able to use the ip to mail inbox or junk. After a few days, the email provided will release the ip but they will flag it for junk. This means that if you use this ip, you won’t be able to mail into inbox, but to junk. We keep mailing junk with the ip, and its reputation will increase because nobody will report the ip (people only report emails that arrive in inbox, not junk). Therefore, the reputation of the ip will increase, and the ip will eventually be released for inbox. The ip will eventually be released for inbox even if you don’t mail junk with it. But an ip with a high reputation will be released faster than an ip with a low reputation.
If you have a different method that works, or you are able to pitch in with some ips, please let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you.
